Lesson Scheduling
Lesson Days
Allynbrooke lessons will be scheduled for a variety of time blocks throughout the week to ensure adequate time for both lessons and training rides.
Time Allotted for Lessons and Training Rides
In general, customers can expect group lessons to last one hour (private lessons 30-40 minutes); however there may
be times when a lesson will be shorter or longer for a variety of good reasons. Similarly, training rides are
generally allotted one hour but may be shorter for young horses, out-of-condition horses, or when we want
to reward a horse for getting something right. In other cases, training rides may take longer to work out
the day’s “issues.” My goal is to balance the following for the best result:
Give everyone (horses and riders) enough time.
Stay on schedule throughout the day.
Allow every horse and rider to end on a good note.
Accommodating Everyone’s Scheduling Needs
There are many considerations that go into the scheduling of lessons (rider’s schedules, parents’ schedules, carpooling
considerations, rider level and goals, horse availability, and so on). I’ll make every effort to work out a reasonable
schedule for every customer. Following are two key scheduling policies I’d like everyone to follow to help things run smoothly:
All lessons and lesson time changes must be scheduled in advance. I will not be in a position to teach lessons on an impromptu basis.
Please give me at least one hour’s notice when you cannot make a scheduled lesson in order to qualify
for a make-up. This applies to all training and lesson programs.
