Allynbrooke Philosophy
My training philosophy centers around the consistent, quality care and safety of our
horses, riders, and their family and friends who accompany them to the barn or shows. Following
are my personal values and beliefs that form the foundation of my programs and actions:
I believe that horse, rider, spectator, and trainer safety come first. Always.
I believe that horses in training for hunter and jumper activities are
athletes and must be cared for accordingly, with a sensibly balanced program including conditioning, training, free time,
dietary supplements, veterinary, farrier, and as appropriate, chiropractic care and massage therapy.
I place the highest importance on customers meeting their own goals for themselves
and their horses. I expect a continuing, open, and candid dialog with each of my students regarding their goals and how we
partner to achieve them. The way we achieve those goals can include any of the following: pro riding strategies, lesson
activities, selection of shows and classes, preparation for shows, and attendance at clinics.
I believe in the importance of developing sportsmanship and horsemanship and toward
that end, my program will emphasize respect, self-discipline, and integrity in and out of the home arena and show ring. As I
fulfill my commitments, I expect all riders to fulfill their own responsibilities in caring for their horses and any horses
they borrow or lease.
I am committed to being completely candid and straightforward in all communications
with my customers. I believe that communication is the most important ingredient in making any relationship work. My door is
always open and I am available to discuss any needs, concerns, or suggestions to make the Allynbrooke program better.
